1. Overview

Maverick Names ("we", "us", or "our") operates a domain operations platform at mavericknames.com. The platform helps domain sellers, investors, brokers, and portfolio operators value, position, market, and sell domain names professionally. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. By using the platform you agree to the practices described here.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data — your email address and authentication credentials when you create an account.
  • Pipeline data — prospect records, domain names, contact details, outreach history, reply analysis, and negotiation notes you create within the platform.
  • Portfolio data — domain names, pricing, status, categories, and notes you add to your portfolio.
  • Valuation data — domains you submit for valuation and the AI-generated valuation reports, including comparable sales research.
  • Buyer discovery data — domains you research, discovered prospects, buyer maps, and fit assessments.
  • Sales pages — content you create for public-facing domain sales pages, including domain names, descriptions, pricing, and contact details you choose to publish.
  • Settings — API keys you enter (Gemini, Brevo, Hunter.io) stored in your account and browser storage.
  • Email events — delivery, open, click, and reply tracking data returned by Brevo for emails you send through the platform.
  • Usage data — standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and page visits.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate all platform modules (valuation, buyer discovery, outbound, portfolio management, sales pages, campaign analytics, reply analysis, and negotiation).
  • To persist your data and settings across sessions and devices.
  • To send outreach emails on your behalf via Brevo.
  • To generate AI-powered valuations, buyer research, outreach content, and negotiation recommendations via Google Gemini.
  • To track email engagement (opens, clicks, replies) so you can manage your pipeline.
  • To host and serve your public sales pages.
  • To improve the platform and diagnose technical issues.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. AI Processing

When you use modules powered by AI (Valuation, Buyer Discovery, Outbound, Reply Analysis, Negotiation), the following data is sent to Google Gemini via your own API key:

  • Domain names you submit for valuation or buyer research.
  • Context and notes you provide alongside your requests.
  • Prospect and pipeline data used to generate outreach or analyse replies.

This data is processed according to Google's API terms of service. We do not store AI-generated content on our servers — results are stored in your browser (localStorage) and your Firebase account. Google Gemini may use Google Search grounding to access public web data when generating valuations and buyer research.

5. Sales Pages and Public Data

When you publish a sales page, the domain name, tagline, description, selling points, category, asking price (if you choose to display it), and contact email become publicly accessible via a shareable URL. This data is visible to anyone with the link. You can unpublish or delete a sales page at any time to remove it from public access.

6. Third-Party Services

The platform integrates with the following third-party services. Their own privacy policies apply to data they process:

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database storage, and user data sync.
  • Google Gemini API — AI-powered valuation, buyer discovery, outreach generation, reply analysis, and negotiation support.
  • Brevo — transactional email delivery and engagement tracking.
  • Hunter.io — optional contact email lookup and verification.
  • Vercel — hosting, serverless functions, and sales page serving.

7. API Keys

API keys you enter (Gemini, Brevo, Hunter.io) are stored in your Firebase account and your browser's localStorage. They are used solely to make API calls on your behalf and are never shared with or sold to third parties. You can delete them at any time from the Settings page.

8. Local Storage

Some platform data is stored in your browser's localStorage for performance and offline access, including portfolio data, valuation results, buyer discovery results, and sales page configurations. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly synced. Clearing your browser data will remove locally stored information.

9. Data Retention

Your pipeline data, portfolio records, and settings are retained in Firebase for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual records at any time. Upon account deletion, all associated data (including published sales pages) will be removed within 30 days. To request full account deletion, contact us at the address below.

10. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Firebase security rules restrict access so that each user can only read and write their own data. API keys are stored per-user and are never exposed to other users. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data in your account or pipeline.
  • Delete individual records, portfolio entries, or sales pages at any time.
  • Request full account and data deletion.
  • Export your pipeline and portfolio data.

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@mavericknames.com.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
